Lifonet — real-time waste collection tracking
Waste management platform built with React and Node.js: users open containers and follow their collections in real time.
The challenge
Waste collection only works when operators and residents see the same state: which container is open, which collection is under way and what has already been emptied. That state changes constantly, out in the field.
How I approached it
As full-stack developer I built the platform with React and Node.js, wiring live events from the field into the interface so containers and collections update as they happen instead of on a schedule.
The result
Residents open containers and follow collections in real time, and the operator gets an accurate picture of the service without chasing phone calls or spreadsheets.
